[I’d guess that there will be wholesale changes made over the next several days. CNN’s problems predate Licht, who just didn’t have any good solutions to them. It’s worth noting that Byers pretty astutely reported in 2022 that Licht didn’t really have the requisite experience to run an organization of this size, having mainly been a producer with limited programming experience at scale. They may try the centering strategy again, only this time with someone who has better background at helming a news organization. Stay tuned. — Ed]
