Big Tech backs away from the gov't-industrial censorship complex. But can they?

We can expect Democrat politicians to start pushing for changes to Section 230, in order to take out the teeth and thusly hold Big Tech, Big Pharma and all the other Bigs liable for “misinformation” that causes “harm.”

[It’s certainly possible, and Kira’s right for raising the potential issue. However, the Supreme Court likely has already cut off that strategy with their unanimous ruling in Twitter v Taamneh, which I wrote about last month. The decision effectively bypasses Section 230 and makes it moot in terms of liability for content on social-media platforms, regardless of the question of platform or publisher. Any effort at this point to repeal Section 230 is only going to be window dressing. — Ed]
