GOP lawmakers have accused Hunter of using his father’s influence to make money on the deal that allegedly also fattened the bank accounts of the president’s brother and his daughter-in-law. The Oversight Committee has requested more information from Hunter and the younger Biden’s legal team has refused to hand over additional documents.
The legal quicksand is getting deeper for Hunter Biden and members of his family. President Joe Biden’s son already has questionable ties to at least one Chinese company, the U.S. House Oversight Committee believes. The leadership of this Republican-led panel thinks bank records that show potentially incriminating activities about Hunter, his uncle, and his sister-in-law are only the tip of the iceberg concerning alleged corruption and influence peddling by the president and his family.
