Maybe it’s because I’m an aging Gen X’er, but this whole phenomenon baffles me. Not just the trans part, but whining about your students in public. Why would you gaze tearfully into a camera and tell the whole world you keep getting owned by a fourth grader?

This woman — who bristles at the word “woman,” and human biology itself — calls herself lordrainbowsky on TikTok.1 And I’m glad she said this crap, irritating vocal fry and all, because it’s instructive. Public schools have never been great, but now they’re hiring obvious lunatics. That’s good to know.
