Chicago Public Schools’ Office of the Inspector General investigated hundreds of complaints of adult/student sexual misconduct during the 2021-2022 school year. These included:
-
A teacher who sexually assaulted a 17-year-old student on three occasions, groping and touching her thighs and buttocks.
An instructor who had sex with a female student over the course of a year, when she was 16 to 17 years old. He also provided her with alcohol and asked her to buy marijuana for him.
A gym teacher who repeatedly exposed himself to a sophomore girl and sent another photos and videos of himself masturbating and performing other sex acts.
In many cases, the allegations were corroborated by e-mails, text messages, and the testimony of victims and witnesses.
