What he means by “the fiscal security of the United States” is the defaulting on the U.S. debt service, which the left consistently claims will happen if the debt ceiling isn’t raised whenever they demand.
House Republicans have said they are willing to negotiate with the Biden administration and Senate Democrats when the debt ceiling comes up for a vote, yet the Biden administration has reportedly announced they will not negotiate on this. Therefore it’s safe to say that in the unlikely scenario that the United States defaults, the blame will lie squarely on Biden’s lap.
Sadly, you can be willing to bet that the leftist media will do everything they can to cover for Biden and Senate Democrats over the next two years and blame any crisis or controversy on Speaker McCarthy and House Republicans.
[We’ve had trillion-dollar deficits since Barack Obama’s presidency and haven’t come close to balancing the federal budget in almost thirty years, and NOW they’re worried about “fiscal security”? We shouldn’t default with a debt-limit fight, but the concern here is very misplaced. It’s the spending, not the debt limit, that threatens our fiscal security. — Ed]
