Power, lies, conspiracy, malice, anger, hate, vitriol—and “even violence”; these are the attributes he has assigned to Republicans. Ironically, this is a man who calls for confronting lies with the truth.
I realized that this was not just an attack on Republicans, but it was actually a “call to arms to Democrats.” I am just beginning to realize that he is not just trying to discredit Republicans and characterize them as dangerous and frightening, but I think he is calling on Democrats, for probably any threat he can manufacture, to attack in every way possible, the Republicans. In a disturbed way, he has been demanding that Democrats see the Republicans as a legitimate threat, and they must take steps to save the country. He is inciting them to violence to save our democracy if they lose the elections.
