A “history of unpaid taxes” is returning to dog Pennsylvania Senate candidate John Fetterman as he scrambles to keep his edge in election polls against Republican challenger, Dr. Mehmet Oz.
In a new campaign ad slated for release Wednesday, tax-dodging charges raised in his 2016 Senate bid are getting the spotlight to highlight GOP criticisms that the current Democratic lieutenant governor’s agenda would raise taxes while he and a group he headed failed to pay theirs on a string of properties.
In the ad, shared with Secrets, the pro-Oz American Action PAC said that Fetterman and his community group Braddock Redux were sued 67 times for $30,000 in unpaid taxes and liens on properties they owned in Braddock, Pennsylvania, where he was mayor from 2006 to 2019.
The PAC provided Secrets with county financials showing the list of liens against properties that Fetterman and his group fixed up.
