Former NYT editor Jill Abramson accused of plagiarism

Jill Abramson, former executive editor of The New York Times, has been accused of plagiarizing portions of her new book about her time in the news industry, Merchants of Truth: Inside the News Revolution. Vice News correspondent Michael Moynihan leveled the allegations against her in a Twitter thread Monday that featured numerous highlighted passages from Abramson’s book alongside passages from various publications that he says she lifted or improperly “borrowed” from. Moynihan accused her of lifting passages from The New Yorker and the Columbia Journalism Review, among other publications. Abramson later responded to the allegations on Fox News. “I certainly didn’t plagiarize in my book.
