Left-wing filmmaker Michael Moore declared Thursday that the Trump tax cuts of 2017 were “in a sense an act of terror” against poor Americans.
Speaking Thursday on MSNBC exactly one year after the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 was signed into law by President Trump, Mr. Moore blasted the sweeping tax reform bill as only benefiting the “top 0.1 percent” of Americans.
“All the Republicans in that photo that you showed standing there on the steps with him a year ago today all looking so slap-happy … remember it’s not just Trump, all of the Republicans, all of them, nobody has had the courage to stand up and say this is wrong, this is un-American,” Mr. Moore told MSNBC host Ali Velshi.
The “Fahrenheit 11/9” director made the comments as footage played of Republican lawmakers celebrating the tax-reform package being signed into law.
