Democrats in Virginia appear to have ended the Republican majority in the House of Delegates after a recount found that one Democratic candidate defeated a GOP incumbent by a single vote.

The recount, held in Virginia’s 94th District, found that Democratic candidate Shelly Simonds won the Nov. 7 election by just one vote after the original results showed Republican incumbent David Yancey winning by 10 votes, according to The Virginian Pilot.
