Perhaps because of Trump’s appeal to working-class voters, Clinton is winning traditionally Democratic union households by only 5 points.
Trump has often touted the number of new voters he is bringing into the Republican Party, and he appears to be right, at least in Ohio, where 57 percent of first-time voters are behind Trump.
However, Clinton is slightly benefitting from greater party loyalty: 91 percent of Democrats back her versus 87 percent of Republicans for Trump. Independents are evenly split.
