Susan Sarandon slams Woody Allen at Cannes Film Festival

Backlash against director Woody Allen continued to mount Sunday when actress Susan Sarandon lambasted him at the Cannes Film Festival.

Speaking at Variety’s Women in Motion seminar, Sarandon didn’t hold back as she delved into Allen’s alleged history of sexual abuse.

“I think he sexually assaulted a child and I don’t think that’s right,” Sarandon told the audience, according to Variety.

“I have nothing good to say about him,” she continued. “I don’t want to go there.”

The Oscar winner’s blunt remarks come days after Allen’s son Ronan Farrow published a scathing essay for The Hollywood Reporter calling out the media and the film industry for continuing to give his “predator” father the benefit of the doubt.
