Frankly, a lot of careers should justifiably end when Trump loses to Hillary, but a third party effort against Trump will give them one more opportunity to lie, obfuscate, and escape accountability.

The odds of a third party candidate actually winning in November is not great. There are actually pretty good odds that the right candidate could come in second ahead of Donald Trump. But Hillary Clinton is going to be President with a Donald Trump nomination and the people who have helped Trump should not be given an excuse to get out of being blamed for what they have done.

Revolutions of the sort Trump is leading tend to go south and turn on those who struck the matches. Robespierre was led to the gallows of his own making. A third party just puts the wrong people on the gallows of blame ahead of those who truly deserve to be first in line.
