Dallas police headquarters attacked by men in armored van; explosives found

In an apparent planned attack on the Dallas Police Department, one or more gunmen opened fire on police headquarters early Saturday morning, then fled in an armored vehicle, and are now in a standoff with officers at a nearby Jack in the Box parking lot, police said.

Meanwhile, police found two explosive devices left outside their headquarters, both of which were detonated by explosives robots. One of the devices had been left under a police truck.
