Bill Maher to Mike Huckabee: What's with your Christian persecution complex?

They talked a bit about what Huckabee defines as “Bubbleville” (the liberal havens) and “Bubbaville” (flyover country), and Maher challenged that assumption as part of a Christian “persecution complex” where “you feel like somehow the world is against you.”

Huckabee pointed to television shows in particular, claiming you’d be “hard-pressed” to find a sitcom where believers are not ridiculed. Maher didn’t see this at all, and told Huckabee that he might know “Bubbaville” better because he’s done plenty of stand-up shows in red states and seen those places firsthand.
