Yet another Democrat this week, Senator Kay Hagan, didn’t give a straight answer to a question of whether she supports the president. Powers said Obama’s likely fine with Democrats criticizing him because above all else, he wants Democrats to control the Senate after the midterms.

But then, Kelly asked, why would Obama be making such public statements about all votes for Democrats being for him? Powers admitted, “I’ve kind of given up trying to explain why he does some of the things he does, because it doesn’t make sense.”
