Mitt Romney: Chris Christie's not a bully -- he's like LBJ

Asked by host Neil Cavuto if he thinks Christie’s recent scandals make him seem “bully-esque,” Romney didn’t give in. “I consider it being a kind of strong, LBJ-type leadership style,” Romney said. “I think people want someone who is tough.”

It’s not just a little odd for a Republican to favorably compare another Republican to LBJ, he of the War on Poverty and welfare state. It’s also a bit odd to turn to LBJ here because he was kind of a bully (Exhibits A, B, C).
