But amnesty is not the only issue Graham is making a name for himself these days. Less than 12 hours after police had captured Boston Marathon bomber Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, and many more hours before Tsarnaev even had the capacity to talk, Graham issued a joint statement with McCain demanding that the Obama administration ignore Tsarnaev’s Constitutional rights and treat him as an enemy combatant:

“The accused perpetrators of these acts were not common criminals attempting to profit from a criminal enterprise, but terrorists trying to injure, maim, and kill innocent Americans. The suspect, based upon his actions, clearly is a good candidate for enemy combatant status.”

Why is it that the two Republican senators so eager to give citizenship away are also the two Republicans senators so eager to ignore its protections?
