Confirmed: McDonald's worker not among the Maryland Mega Millions winners

Three Maryland public school educators have come forward to claim their share of the record-breaking Mega Millions jackpot.

Stephen Martino, director of the Maryland Lottery, said Tuesday the winners wish to remain anonymous and few details about their identities were made available, except that the winners were a woman in her 20s, a man in his 40s, and a woman in her 50s. They pooled their money and bought 60 tickets, each spending $20 at three Maryland locations, including the 7-Eleven on Liberty Road in Milford Mill where the winning ticket was purchased at 7:15 p.m. March 30…

Martino said the winners were amused by rumors of other winners, most notably Mirlande Wilson, a McDonald’s employee who claimed she had the winning ticket outside of a pool she participated in with her co-workers.
