According to the Public Policy Polling survey, Huckabee leads Obama 54 to 40 percent, in the state, which is roughly the margin that Republican nominee John McCain held over the president in the 2008 elections.

Barbour’s lead is a smaller ten points, 51 to 41 percent, the poll found.

Newt Gingrich would win 48 to 42 percent over Obama, Romney would be 46 percent to 40 percent, and Sarah Palin would be 48 percent to 44 percent.
