Iowa Republicans wonder: Where's Sarah?

In August, the Fix wrote that former Alaska governor Sarah Palin had almost no presidential ground operation in the first-in-the-nation state. Six months later, as the presidential race begins in earnest, that’s still true. She’s held a few high-profile events in the state, but she hasn’t had the one-on-one meetings with activists that other potential presidential contenders are lining up. Craig Robinson, the local GOP’s political director in the last cycle made that point more directly in a blog post Wednesday: “The Sarah Palin fan club needs to realize that it takes more to run for president than just posting things or endorsing candidates via Facebook. If she is considering running for president, she has a ton of work to do in a state like Iowa.”
