They’re still not serious about spending

Unfortunately, the situation gets worse in the future with entitlement spending exploding as baby boomers retire. By the start of the next decade, Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid and interest payments on the debt will swallow up every tax dollar Washington takes in, leaving no money for America’s classrooms, armies and navies, homeland security, roads and every other program we rely on to keep our country safe and running.

But these budget items are the only ones Republicans and Democrats refuse to touch!

So the next time you wonder whether a Republican or a Democrat is lying when he says he’s serious about tackling America’s debt, just ask that politician whether he is ready to cut Pentagon spending, along with Social Security and Medicare benefits to future recipients. If not, then that politician is either a coward or a fool.
