Snowe is sympathetic to Obama’s public relations burden.
“The more you immerse yourself in the facts, the policy, the legislation, how it should be crafted, who it affects, who it doesn’t affect, what outcome it will achieve and not achieve, what it would cost — the list grows exponentially because it’s so complex and interwoven and intertwined,” Snowe said…
But Democrats can’t deliver those specifics yet because they’re not settled on a plan themselves.
“The challenge isn’t that people don’t understand it; the challenge is people don’t have a policy to respond to,” said Mark Merritt, president of the Pharmaceutical Care Management Association. “What we hear is more aspirational than informational.”
