All right, everyone – break out your best Brandenburg arguments, dust off the "fire in a crowded theater" clichés, and ... worry about Wisconsin and the country. A lot.
Today's deep question, at least so far: Does the First Amendment protect speech in which a person calls on followers to "kill your local Republican" while declaring a "trans jihad"? If so, then perhaps this will remain a local issue for people voting in the Democrat primary in Wisconsin's Eighth Congressional District. Teha Delaruelle reportedly works as an activist and a volunteer for candidate Katrina DeVille, a transgender musician seeking the nomination to challenge Republican incumbent Tony Wied. If not, perhaps Kash Patel and the FBI will take an interest in the "trans jihad."
Either way, Wied may want to bump up his personal security:
🚨 WOW: Wisconsin Democrat staffer, Teha Delaruelle is calling on activists to "K*LL YOUR LOCAL REPUBLICAN."

To the surprise of utterly no one, this is not a one-off for Delaruelle:

“For decades, everyone else, all of the marginalized in house minorities, we’ve had to be the ones that walk down the streets with anxiety, with fear, but no, no more,” Delaruelle said. “No more, folks. We’re gonna do the reverse. We’re gonna make it so that they walk down the streets with fear, anxiety, and worry, and we’re not gonna make this, like, oh they gotta do this for like a week or something where they get really scared. No, this is their new reality.”
We'll get to the First Amendment considerations in a moment. If Delaruelle actually does have a connection to the DeVille campaign, they may want to rethink that very quickly. DeVille is already a radical candidate whose rhetoric and posture hardly fit WI-08, an R+8 district that went 57/41 for Donald Trump two years ago. DeVille's campaign website – an artifact from the MySpace era – declares her a "Courage Candidate," features all sorts of campaign flags and buttons, including the Queers for Palestine flag, and declares an endorsement for something called a "citizens' impeachment," which DeVille fails to explain.
In fact, the website appears to barely be maintained at all; the "News" section tells people to "tune in here regularly for all campaign updates," but consists of nothing more than a few holiday greetings. The last update was a month ago, when DeVille posted a Pride Month note. The only actual campaign activity mentioned in the News section was a Range Day in January, in which DeVille noted her his strong support for the Second Amendment.
Will DeVille post any "news" about Delaruelle? Don't hold your breath. It's not clear yet whether there is any formal connection between Delaruelle and the campaign. The Heartland Post claims that "Delaruelle has been active with the Democratic Party of Outagamie ... for years," and had "recently joined DeVille's campaign." Delaruelle has an active X/Twitter account at the moment, and a search for DeVille on the account shows a number of supporting posts, including participation in multiple DeVille events. This one seems particularly ironic:
YOOOOO GANG I MADE IT

GO SUPPORT KATRINA DEVILLE FOR CONGRESS
FUCK THE RIGHT THEY’RE TERRORISTIC HYPOCRITES
SUPPORT @Deville4Congrss NOW!!! ^_^ https://t.co/wXrmXXkPBi pic.twitter.com/jiAYjXRgHV
"Terroristic hypocrites," eh? Do tell.
Does this cross the line from free speech to incitement of terror and violence? It's probably close to the line, but usually the latter requires specificity and imminence to be considered a criminal act. Delaruelle's screeds are not specific to a target or a time and place, which might make prosecution difficult. Nonetheless, it certainly might be enough for the FBI and Department of Justice to open an investigation into Delaruelle, and they probably should, given the unhinged nature of these rants. Delaruelle presents himself as a danger to the community, and law enforcement had better take that seriously before Delaruelle follows the path of other transgender radicals and starts committing actual violence in the "trans jihad."
The larger question here, though, is the increasingly insane flavor of radical politics, especially in and adjacent to the trans community. We have experienced a string of mass-murder incidents involving trans perps, and one very notable assassination in the cowardly sniping death of Charlie Kirk. Democrat candidates have been slow to denounce these radicals in any form, and that has only encouraged more insanity. The voters of WI-08 can put accountability on DeVille in this one instance, but the voters of this country need to stand up across the board to make Democrats pay for playing footsie with revolutionaries and lunatics.
Editor’s Note: The 2026 Midterms will determine the fate of President Trump’s America First agenda. Republicans must maintain control of both chambers of Congress.
