Welcome to our VIP feature for Hot Air as well as a members-only show in the Hughniverse! Duane Patterson and I now are doing a Week in Review show for Friday evenings, exclusive to members in both platforms. Duane has been the Generalissimo behind the Hugh Hewitt Show for more than two decades, and we have partnered on weekly commentary since 2007.

What stories topped your priority lists this week? Duane and I channel our inner TV coroners to delve into the DNC's autopsy, which turned out to be dead on arrival yesterday. Even the Protection Racket Media couldn't quite believe how bad this was, not just in terms of competence but in fault avoidance. Ken Martin probably won't have his job as DNC chair for long, and we explain all of the reasons why.

We also talk about the upcoming Texas runoff, and what the impact of Trump's endorsement of Ken Paxton might be. Will Paxton put the Senate majority at risk in November? Perhaps that race could get overshadowed by the runoff in San Antonio, where the top votegetter for Democrats in TX-35 is now calling to put 'Zionists' in detention centers and make them subject to castration. Is Maureen Galindo a rando nutcase, or does she represent the new Democrat identity?

Finally, we review the status of the war with Iran. Both Duane and I are getting frustrated with Trump's willingness to indulge the Iranians' stall tactics. Speaker Mike Johnson had to push off another War Powers Resolution vote to order an end to military operations, and it looks like Trump may be running out of political runway here in the US.

Be sure to watch it all, and extend the conversation in the comments!
