Crybully: Mamdani's Tenant Advocate Breaks Down When Confronted About Hypocrisy

Congratulations, New York City voters. You elected the hall monitors of a local elementary school to lead your city.

Cea Weaver has made waves since her appointment from Zohran Mamdani as his "tenants advocate," part of the Democratic Socialist's effort to curtail private property rights and organize renters for political power. Weaver's past remarks about home ownership have emerged, including a claim that white people who own homes are racist. As it turns out, however, her parents own a home in a gentrifying section of Nashville worth well over a million dollars, which makes Weaver look either hypocritical or rebelling against her parents.

The media in New York have some understandable curiosity about this situation and the explanation for it. When reporters asked Weaver this morning to explain, she chose instead to burst into tears and flee back into her apartment:

A woke aide to New York City's new socialist mayor burst out crying when confronted over her assertion that it is racist for white people to own homes - despite her own mother owning a $1.4m Craftsman house. 

Cea Weaver, who runs Mayor Zohran Mamdani's Office to Protect Tenants, was overcome with emotion when confronted outside her apartment in Brooklyn on Wednesday morning.

The 37-year-old began running down the street after seeing a Daily Mail reporter outside her home, then said 'No' through tears when asked if she wanted to comment on her professor mother Celia Appleton's ownership of the $1.4 million property in fast-gentrifying Nashville.

Weaver appeared to be walking towards a nearby subway station, but then turned back and ran inside her home, which has a 'Free Palestine' poster taped to one of its windows. 

So far, there seems to be no video available of the exchange. However, photos are circulating on social media that appear to corroborate the reporting.

Is Cea Weaver mentally unstable? Why would she sob and run away when approached by the press.

Is Weaver mentally unstable? She certainly seems unprepared for the job, which is public-facing and substantial enough to deal with the media. Weaver was adept enough to scrub her social media after the election, but it turned out to be too late. Michelle Tandler kept a lot of receipts, which she posted in a lengthy thread on Monday. However, the first tweet has the right context for today's events, given the "gentrifier" declaration she made in 2018:

A few months ago, I dug into Cea Weaver's Twitter history because she was Mamdani's housing advisor.

I had a hunch she might get a position on his team.

Well, she did, and she deleted her X account, accordingly.

Was that aimed at her parents? Or was it just empty sloganeering from someone who never imagined that she would be held accountable for her public statements?

Cea Weaver appears to be yet another crybully socialist – someone who wants power without accountability, ready to smear opponents with the most vile accusations while collapsing and fleeing even momentary questioning. Her entitlement far exceeds her age, experience, and mental stability. Mamdani's decision to appoint her to this position demonstrates his own status as a pampered dilettante, a callow pseudo-intellectual without the candlepower to run a staff, let alone a city. The wheels are coming off already, just a week into the Mamdani Era of the Big Red Apple. 

There's no crying in baseball, Ms. Weaver, and none in basic politics. Which team do you play for? Isn't it the one that wants to use government power to rob people of their private property? That doesn't make you a peach, Ms. Weaver. Suck it up or get off the field.
