Welcome back to our VIP video series “The Amiable Skeptics,” featuring my friend Adam Baldwin! Adam is well-known for his long and storied Hollywood career, starting with My Bodyguard, and especially for his roles in Full Metal Jacket, Firefly, its film sequel Serenity, Chuck, and The Last Ship.
Recorded on Wednesday, Adam and I discussed the latest developments of the Israel-Hamas war, including the declaration by Ghazi Hamad that Hamas would keep launching massacres until they destroyed Israel. We both correctly guessed that the media would ignore it, and also that Joe Biden would cave on demands from his Hamas Caucus on a cease-fire. But we focus more on why college students are rallying for a terrorist network that slaughtered 1400 Israeli citizens, including the aforementioned “Queers for Palestine,” which would put them to death in Gaza. Queer, Adam says, has a distinct political meaning — and it matches the Hamas’ nihilism entirely.
