The Minnesota State Fair returns to the Fairgrounds, and so does Hot Air at the Fair! All this week, local Salem Radio affiliate AM 1280 The Patriot will have me on the air from 8-10 am CT, talking both national and local politics. We also will simulcast the show through Facebook Live. (Please note: the microphones are muted during the commercial breaks.)
Today’s show at the Great Minnesota Get-Together features:
- Andy Cilek of the Minnesota Voters Alliance joins us in the booth to discuss the lawsuit they filed in August to gain access to voter data. Why won’t Steve Simon release data that the state classifies as public?
- Former MN Governor Tim Pawlenty joins us on the phone to discuss his work at Financial Services Roundtable, how to structure tax reform, and his thoughts on the response to Hurricane Harvey. We’ll also get his thoughts on the stalled nomination of David Stras to the federal appeals court; Pawlenty appointed Stras to the Minnesota Supreme Court.
- Jason Flohrs of Americans for Prosperity visits the booth to discuss their Do Better Minnesota agenda, including school choice, tax reform, and ending corporate welfare.
- Scott Wilder updates us on Hurricane Harvey and the work of Save the Children. Find out how you can be part of the rescue and recovery effort!
All this and much, much more!
Call in to join us at 651-289-4488! Be sure to listen on The Patriot’s on-line stream if you’re outside the broadcast area. We’ll also stream Facebook Live to present the show from the booth (although with booth audio rather than network audio), and will embed each hour in this post. (If it’s muted, right-click the video and choose Unmute.) Join the fun!
