Finally — the hours I spent in my youth on MAD Magazine have paid off! I grew up on MAD, with its cynical and self-deprecating humor and its satirical look on American life and institutions. On a trip to the Big Apple in 1974 at the tender age of 11, I even bought a copy at a newsstand on my own — and worried its proprietor enough that he gave me a paperback dictionary for free and kindly suggested I spend more time reading the book. Not long after that, my cool aunt gave me a MAD subscription, so I lived on a steady diet of fun throughout most of my adolescence. (That assumes that my adolescence came to an end, I know.)

Forty years later, MAD Magazine has partnered up with Hot Air to give an exclusive first look at part of an upcoming feature. Issue #531, “The 20 Dumbest People, Events and Things of 2014,” hits newsstands on December 16 (with or without dictionaries), and #16 on the list is a swipe at White House security breaches — which they call “Witless Protection.”  The furshlugginger graphic is fairly readable in this size, but click to get a better look:

Let’s just say that this won’t be the Secret Service’s favorite issue. Anyway, I hope Hot Air readers find this as fun a diversion as I did, and keep an eye out for MAD #531 when it comes out a week from today. It’ll be just to the right of the potrzebie.
