Asia is a very large continent in the Eastern Hemisphere. It’s also the name of a pretty good band, and the first name of a character actress whose father made classic horror films. You know what Asia isn’t? A chain of islands in the mid-Pacific that the US calls its 50th state of Hawai’i — something one might think a US President would know, especially one born there:

One other thing that I want to say about this: When I meet with world leaders, what’s striking — whether it’s in Europe or here in Asia — the kinds of fundamental reforms and changes both on the revenue side and the public pension side that other countries are having to make are so much more significant than what we need to do in order to get our books in order.

Oh, well.  He’s on a semi-vacation, and perhaps no one told him that he’d need to study geography.
