Last week, the Pittsburgh Steelers started off their special 15-game season with a shutout win at home over the Seattle Seahawks, 24-0.  (Hey, that’s my story and I’m sticking to it.)  They shrugged off an embarrassing road loss to division rival Baltimore Ravens, who got embarrassed themselves last week in Tennessee.  Today they go on the road to face the Manning-less — and hapless — Indianapolis Colts, who have absorbed two beatings already this season.  Don’t expect things to improve for Kerry Collins when the Steelers come to town; the line on this game is Pittsburgh by 11.  I’ll predict a 28-10 victory for the Steelers.

Last week I went 4-2 and moved to 7-5 on the season.  I need to get some daylight with a big week:

• Lions at Vikings – The Vikings have given up big first-half leads in the first two games of the year.  They won’t do that this time … because Detroit won’t let them get the lead for long, if at all.  Lions will continue their winning ways at the Metrodome, 35-17.
• Patriots at Bills – Two undefeated teams, one a big surprise so far this year, and only one can walk out of the stadium with a pristine record.  The Bills are for real, I think, but not for real enough to stand up to the Pats.  It should be a fun game, though.  Patriots 27-21 over the Bills.
• Packers at Bears – This should be another good game, and another key rivalry.  Da Bears looked impressive in Week 1, and not so much in Week 2, losing by a wide margin to New Orleans on the road.  Green Bay has a similar offense, and they’ve had a week to look at what made the Saints successful.  Green Bay over Chicago, 31-21.
• Giants at Eagles – Michael Vick says he’s ready to play, which means that the Eagles will present a tough challenge to the inconsistent Giants.  He’s likely to be the difference in the game, too; although Mike Kafka played well enough in relief last week, Vick’s injury exit cost the offense momentum and clock time and let the Falcons come back.  Assuming Vick does play the whole game, the Eagles should win at home, 33-20.
• Redskins at Cowboys – Rex Grossman has gone undefeated as Mike Shanahan’s starter this year, putting up some impressive numbers along the way.  The two teams Washington beat won their other games this year, too.  The Cowboys lost a heartbreaker to the Jets and had to go to OT to beat the 49ers.  Romo showed a ton of heart last week, but if he plays it will be with a cracked rib and a punctured lung.  I think Washington wins a close one on the road, 24-21, possibly in OT.

Update: Romo’s now questionable for today:

Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo went through a limited portion of Saturday’s practice and is listed as questionable for Monday’s game against theWashington Redskins because of his rib injury.

Romo did more throwing in Saturday’s workout than he had all week. He sat out of Thursday’s and Friday’s practices in order to rest and wait for the punctured lung to resolve itself. A CT scan Thursday showed the lung had healed, and the decision will come down to whether Romo can handle the pain of his fractured rib.

I’d guess he’ll go, but for how long?
