Obamateurism of the Day

We often speculate as to how the media would treat an Obamateurism if George W. Bush had committed it. In this case, we actually have a baseline to judge it. The media and the Left have giggled over Bush’s declaration in a presidential debate about hearing “rumors on the Internets”:

That video has had over 215,000 views on YouTube in four years. How many will this one get, in which Barack Obama proudly proclaims that he signed his new bestest buddy Dmitri Medvedev to an account with “Twitters”?

“Headquarter” is also an odd term, but we’ll let that one slide. For today, it’s all about pluralization.

Got an Obamateurism of the Day? If you see a foul-up by Barack Obama, e-mail it to me at [email protected] with the quote and the link to the Obamateurism. I’ll post the best Obamateurisms on a daily basis, depending on how many I receive. Include a link to your blog, and I’ll give some link love as well. And unlike Slate, I promise to end the feature when Barack Obama leaves office.
