After Van Jones got exposed as a 9/11 Truther, the Obama administration couldn’t run fast enough from its Green Jobs Czar. Jones left the White House, but where did he go after that? Not too far away from the White House, as it turns out. Jason Mattera catches up with John Podesta, the co-chair of Barack Obama’s presidential transition team and president of the Center for American Progress, which now employs Jones. Jason asks Podesta why CAP hired a Truther, and gets an unintentionally humorous response:

Did Jason make a sale of his new book, Obama Zombies: How the Liberal Machine Brainwashed My Generation, in this brief meeting?  Probably not.  It’s good to know the direction of progressive thought, as well as Podesta’s ideas of what constitutes making America a better place — views Obama seems to share, given Podesta’s access to the White House.  If nothing else, Jason might not find a better example of “brainwashing” for these videos than Jones.
