Dave Weigel of the Washington Independent joins me to discuss both the Right Online conference and Netroots Nation, which he had just left. Dave tells us that the NRN crowd seems subdued — in his words, like “the dog who caught the car.” Arlen Specter gets a surprisingly warm reception at NRN, though, and Joe Sestak didn’t exactly set the crowd on fire. Weigel also thinks that health-care reform isn’t quite as dead as its opponents hope, and that Democrats may think that the fierce opposition now will turn to support in 2010 if it passes, as Bill Clinton told them last night.
