MoveOn Parody II: Not my wallet

Allahpundit posted a great parody of the monstrously lame MoveOn ad, “Not Alex”, but this one’s worth a second thread. Josh Schroeder has a message for Barack Obama and his vision of hefty new tax increases in support of his vision of government intervention:

Here’s the original once again:

The original serves as a parody of itself. As Jim Geraghty pointed out on today’s show, by the end of a hypothetical second John McCain term, Alex will be nine years old. No one will be drafting little Alex into the American military that MoveOn hates so much.

In fact, MoveOn hates the military to such a degree that they have forgotten that the men and women who serve in it volunteered for that duty. Their mommies do not enlist them, nor does the government demand compulsory service as it did in Viet Nam. Those who do serve enlist as adults of their own free will.

Since John McCain certainly understands the difference, I’m reasonably certain that he’s not expecting mothers to pledge their babies to the cause of national security. And since two of McCain’s own sons have fought on the front lines of this war, I think he understands the nature of that sacrifice far more than some dimwit MoveOn stuck in front of a camera.

Maybe Alex’s mom got confused by this explanation from Blazing Saddles (mildly NSFW), regarding the Waco Kid’s last opponent:
