Are There ANY Working Class People in the DSA?

It's almost too easy to take a swipe at the hypocrisy of the Democratic Socialists of America.

I'm not kidding about that. I seriously debated with myself about whether it is even worth it to write about how just about every DSA leader turns out to be a nepo-baby cosplaying as a working-class person before going home to their parent-purchased or subsidized luxury home.

If the DSA had remained an obscure political party with little relevance, I wouldn't have written about this phenomenon, but the line between the DSA and the Democratic Party is blurred. The DSA may see itself as distinct, but the Democrats, with few exceptions, want to merge (unofficially) with the DSA as its own partisans flee its leftward lurch.

In other words, who makes up the DSA matters because Democrats are trying to incorporate these people into their coalition, and it turns out the DSA is a better fit with Democrats than one would expect.

I'm not talking about ideological overlap, of which there is obviously quite a bit, but rather the demographic overlap that the DSA is trying to hide. The DSA wants to take over the "working class" slot that used to be filled by union members and appropriate it for themselves, but it turns out that they fit much more comfortably in with the upper-middle-class and upper-class Democrats who now dominate the party.

The college-educated left that now dominates the Democratic Party makes up the most progressive wing, and their contempt for the common man has driven him out of the party. The only working-class Democrats left, practically speaking, are black Democrats, and their loyalty is being strained to near the breaking point.

The reason it hasn't already is simple: the Organized Crime Democrats have kept shoveling money to racial identity groups, which has been a powerful incentive to stick with a party they otherwise barely recognize. But as the DSA breaks into the top ranks of the Democrats, even the old habits and constant bribery will not be enough to keep middle-class blacks loyal to the Democrats.

The DSA, you see, is trust-fund kids cosplaying revolutionaries for the most part, with a few genuine revolutionaries thrown in for good measure. Think of them as Patty Hearst wannabes, and you are getting close.

Mamdani, famously, is the scion of a wealthy family with an actual compound in Uganda, and when Mamdani went there to get married to his wealthy communist wife, the family could call on the ruling junta to send their special forces there to protect them.

If you look at the leaders of the DSA, it's hard to find anybody who has worked a day in their lives at anything that could be called a "job." You could slap the term "heir" or "heiress" to their bios, and few people would bat an eye. They are Marxists in more ways than one: their daily bread is handed to them by over-indulgent people around them, who egg them on as they pursue "social justice."

The DSA co-chair in New York City, who helps run the organization that Mamdani, AOC, and all the red-diaper babies get endorsed by, lives in a cozy $1.5 million duplex-turned single-family luxury home bought and renovated by his wealthy father. While it was being renovated, he rented a place, but stiffed the landlord on the rent. He pretended to be a union electrician, but like so many socialists, he failed to put in a day's work and was let go.

DSA leader gets sued for eviction while living off his rich dad’s $1.5 million townhouse.

Gustavo Gordillo, co-chair of the New York City Democratic Socialists of America, is facing an eviction lawsuit after stiffing his landlord on three months of $2,500 rent for a Crown Heights apartment.

Court records show he moved in while a $1.5 million Brooklyn townhouse gifted by his wealthy father underwent renovations.

He skipped payments, paid a lump sum after falling behind, then fell behind again.

The landlord sued for the unpaid balance. Gordillo never even filed an answer in housing court.

This is the same activist who rails against landlords, property ownership, and people making returns on real estate.

His own family bought the townhouse for under $1 million in 2019 through an LLC. Its value has risen sharply. While the renovations happened, the socialist co-chair rented elsewhere and treated the rent like an optional suggestion.

The pattern is familiar. Preach redistribution and class warfare. Enjoy the benefits of private capital when it is your own family’s. Then fail to pay the working landlord who actually provides housing.

Hypocrisy this blatant should not surprise anyone who has watched the DSA operate. It still deserves to be highlighted every time it surfaces.

Graham Platner's working-class credentials extended to...looking working class. Sure, he harvested a few oysters for his mom, but his parents bought his house, his hobby was training trans terrorists, and he made his bones by looking like he could have worked outside.

His one serious job was in the military and his subsequent time at a PMC, but he even did that because he wanted to "have an adventure and kill some people". In other words, it wasn't a job, but an adventure, so to speak.

The DSA spends a lot of time advertising itself as the voice of the working class, but so did Lenin and Marx, and both of them spent all their time being revolutionaries. Neither understood nor cared about real working-class people; they found their meaning in life trying to get people killed.

The DSA is basically a bunch of white college grads who are too alienated from their comfortable parents for some reason and have decided that disappointing them is their life's mission.

Fair enough. Such people exist, and I wouldn't care much, but for the fact that they are ruining things for everybody else.

Editor's Note: The Democrat Party has been infected by socialism, and it's spreading FAST. Democrats are claiming there's nothing to worry about, but we know the truth.
