The Spanish enclave of Ceuta, located on the African coast next to Morocco, is being invaded by military-aged men who broke through border gates, fences, and the coastal barriers that mark the border.

So far, several tens of thousands of Moroccans (and who knows who else?) have flooded across the border, creating panic in the city of 85,000, and the flow is not stopping. Moroccan authorities, in fact, appear to be facilitating the invasion. Not coincidentally, nearly 2,000 criminals were pardoned and released from prison, leading many to speculate that the two are connected.

Spain's Prime Minister, Pedro Sánchez, has already given amnesty and regularized nearly a million illegal migrants as part of a plan by the Spanish socialists to "combat the far right," and his party members have made it abundantly clear that their intent is to flood the zone with anti-"fascist" foreign voters. This is not an accusation being leveled at them; this is their stated goal.
When you watch the videos of the mass migration invasion of Spain, remember this is exactly what their far-left politicians wanted.

This is the Left's playbook around the globe: import millions of migrants, bribe them with amnesty and welfare, and then allow them to vote so… pic.twitter.com/aTOJnlYEXO
The videos coming out of Ceuta range from scary to horrifying, and the city fathers are begging for help. The number of invaders now rivals that of the population as a whole, and initial requests that the Spanish government declare a state of emergency and send the military were denied.
Huge crowds of illegal migrants are running amok in Ceuta, looting stores and breaking into the homes of local people.

European leaders did get a bit more out of Sánchez as they began threatening restrictions on Spanish citizens' travel throughout the Schengen Zone—Meloni first, and now Finland has both said Spain's participation in the free-travel zone should be suspended, since the alternative is to allow the invasion to spread beyond Spain's borders, as it inevitably will.
Spanish authorities estimate that roughly 60,000 illegal African migrants overran the city of Ceuta in just 24 hours.
— Bill Melugin (@BillMelugin_) July 31, 2026
For perspective, that’s 3-4x larger than the Haitian illegal migrant rush in Del Rio, TX in 2021.
And it appears it’s still not over.
Sánchez's response was to fly to Ceuta and promise to do something to close the border, but that something seems pretty weak indeed. Not that this is shocking in the least; Sánchez has been granting documented status to invaders as a policy, so unless he gets pressure from outside Spain—he is already laughing in the face of Spanish natives—he will use this as an opportunity to keep the invasion growing even faster.

49,000 migrants just FLOODED the enclave, leaving at least 18 dead and forcing a military deployment.
And his solution is some buoys and *maybe* a few legal changes?? What an absolute freakin' joke....
Legally, once these invaders cross the border, the Spanish Supreme Court has ruled that they cannot be summarily deported; every one of them must be given due process, which will mean transporting them to the Spanish mainland and presumably releasing them until their cases can be adjudicated. They will have the full rights that Spanish and EU law give everybody, and deportation cases, should they ever be brought, will likely take years.

Konstantin Kisin hits the nail on the head: you can't call this irregular immigration, or migration, or any euphemism for what is clearly happening: an invasion.
They're not "migrants". Migrants go to an embassy, apply for a visa, wait their turn and then come when they're allowed.

These people are *illegally* entering a European country. Given that Europe has no borders within it, they are effectively entering all of Europe illegally. And from there, since Britain won't enforce our borders either they can come here.
I really hate the language that people sometimes use when discussing these issues but 50 THOUSAND people coming into a country illegally in a day can only be described truthfully with one word: invasion.
These people are invading our countries against our will. If you're someone who is really concerned about the "rise of the far right", you should be calling and actively working for this to be dealt with with extreme urgency. Because if liberals don't police the borders, fascists will.
This is a good reminder of why Trump won in 2024: the United States was being invaded as well, and the same globalists were behind that as well. Lest we forget, it was the United Nations, USAID, Catholic Charities, and a whole range of NGOs spending billions of dollars to coordinate and subsidize the invasion of the United States. Joe Biden used every resource at his disposal to ensure that as many human beings could cross into the United States, unvetted, unwelcome by us, and draining our resources.
Now that our border is locked down, it's easy for people to forget what the chaos under Democrats actually looked like.

Sánchez clearly doesn't care a whit about what Spanish citizens think of all this, but he may respond to pressure from his European peers, at least some of whom are outraged and willing to fight back.

🇫🇮🇪🇸 Ministers in Finland's government are backing Italian PM Giorgia Meloni's threat to SUSPEND the Schengen Agreement with Spain.
It comes after the unprecedented wave of migrants that poured into the Spanish enclave of Ceuta, yesterday.
Mari Rantanen and Riikka Purra said member states that do not adequately guard the external border to the EU should lose their place in the passport-free zone.
Meloni says stronger measures are needed, as arrivals in Spain continue to rise, and its government JUST granted legal status and work permits to around 500,000 undocumented migrants...
Other EU countries are fearful of "secondary movement" (migrants informally overstaying in other EU countries).
Even Ursula von der Leyen has weighed in, as pressure from Italy and Northern European countries has mounted to do something to ensure that this doesn't spread as a contagion.
The images coming from Ceuta are unacceptable.

@magnusbrunner is already working closely with Spain and is ready to travel to critical points.
He will work on additional operational support to Spain, including through Frontex.
@dubravkasuica is in contact with her Moroccan counterpart.
I am confident that our close partnership with Morocco will help deliver concrete results.
Yeah, sure, Ursula. The European Union is famous for defending its borders.
Chances are good that some migrants will flow back into Morocco because conditions in Ceuta will rapidly deteriorate, and many likely just went with the flow. But that just means that the most hardcore will become an even higher concentration of the people who are left. Criminals, Islamists, people who traveled through Morocco from other countries...

Should Sánchez move significant resources to the border, which is a big if, he will also have to flood the zone with food and other supplies (he will in any case), and rapidly evacuate as many of these invaders to the Spanish mainland. Which will, of course, free up space for more migrants to flood in.
Inevitably, there will be a "fascist" backlash—people who reach their breaking point—and the Spanish police will turn their efforts on suppressing them.
Danish PM Mette Frederiksen says the EU should consider suspending Spain from the Schengen area after an estimated 60,000 migrants entered the Spanish enclave of Ceuta from Morocco.

She says Europe must avoid a repeat of the 2015 migration crisis and has spoken with Italian PM…
When 50,000 people enter a city state with a population of 80,000, they have invaded it. They have taken it over.
The invasion of Ceuta was not met by any resistance.
This is Spain’s fault.
For years it has signalled that illegal migrants are welcome. Last year it gave amnesty to 500,000 illegal migrants.
Ceuta today. Spain tomorrow. Europe and the UK
Von der Leyen does have a strong incentive to pressure Sánchez to get things under control: the European Union as an institution is under threat, as various countries realize that both it and the Schengen Zone are threats to their sovereignty. Populist movements have been growing in strength, and Northern European countries are tired of the invasion. Sánchez and the socialists see the invasion as a political win, but his colleagues in other countries are starting to fight back against the globalist agenda.
Keep an eye on Ceuta. The implications go far beyond Spain. The very idea of "Europe" itself is being challenged.
