'Grooming Gangs' Scandal Even Worse Than We Imagined

Rupert Lowe Rape Gang Inquiry

Rupert Lowe, who ran the independent grooming gang (rape gang) inquiry because the Labour Party refused to do so, has released his report to the public.

It is so, so, SO much worse than anybody imagined. Which, you would have thought, was impossible. After all, given what we knew, how could it be?

Well, it turns out that no matter how much you hate the British ruling elite, it is not nearly enough.

Now, while some people—mostly Muslim advocacy groups—are claiming that the inquiry was biased and that all the testifiers were lying slags, few people actually believe that. Even the government, which up until now has resisted any disclosure and tried to tamp down the crisis, has ordered local police forces to investigate offenses dating back over a decade.

The cover-up is, if not completely exposed, no longer tenable. What we know is far too explosive.

There is no way to capture the full horror of what Lowe's investigations found, but Matt Van Swol did a top-line summary that excludes the stories of the girls and focuses on the scale of the horrors and how authorities facilitated a decades-long conspiracy to abuse young British girls.

The sheer scale and time frame in which this took place is staggering. The earliest cases date back to the 1950s, which explains why the sheer number of victims is so large. I would assume that the reason things got going then was the collapse of British India and the subsequent wave of migration to the UK. There were two massive waves of immigration from the region—the 1950s, during post-war reconstruction, and since the 1990s, when "Global Britain" became a thing.

There is no ambiguity about whether the authorities were ignorant of what was going on, as there are NHS records in addition to victims' testimony. Girls were sexually victimized in the most horrid ways and were treated and released, often on the same night and back to the same places where the assaults took place.

Authorities at all levels of government were both aware of the sexual crimes and sometimes complicit, either participating, covering up, or actively enabling the perpetrators.

Many of the rape gang members who were arrested were let off with warnings while Keir Starmer was head of the Crown Prosecution Services ties him directly into the scandal, which obviously doesn't help his case for remaining PM, such as it is.

What makes the report so devastating, though, is not the mind-numbing statistics. It is the countless personal stories that victims were finally able to share. To call them heartbreaking doesn't begin to cover it. It is the human toll revealed one girl at a time.

🇬🇧 An excerpt from The Rape Gang Inquiry Report:

When 14-year-old Chloe was approached by a social worker about her constant sexual abuse, the worker asked if she wanted to audition for a role in the soap opera Emmerdale playing a grooming victim — “because of her experience.”

Devastated, Chloe ran away and was abducted by a Muslim grooming gang.

She was trafficked across Britain for 6 months, repeatedly raped by multiple men who treated her as a commodity.

When police eventually found her in a car with a South Asian Muslim man, he was released without charges, and Chloe was simply sent home.

The stories are too horrible to bear; when you finally realize that it was not statistics who were victims betrayed by the state, but actual young women.

"Have fun with her."

🇬🇧🇵🇰 "Michelle" (a survivor who gave testimony in the Rape Gang Inquiry Report):

👉 Groomed from age 13 by 3 adult Pakistani brothers who supplied alcohol, cigarettes & drugs; daily rape while intoxicated, collected from school/home/public places, with threats of violence to control her;

👉 At 14, gang-raped and beaten by 3 men who locked her in a house; police investigation dropped after one perpetrator posed as her “appropriate adult” and forced her to retract her statement;

👉 Raped in bin sheds, threatened with knives, burned with cigarettes, drugged, beaten, locked in rooms, and passed between multiple men; an amusement arcade used as a front for exploitation;

👉 Became pregnant 4 times as a child through rape (resulting in miscarriages, one abortion, and one surviving child);

👉 Raped by between 600–700 different men over three years (98% Pakistani Muslim, others Iraqi/Kurdish Muslim); describes an “industrial” national network;

👉 Authorities dismissed girls as “prostitutes” engaging by choice, failed to intervene when missing, and one social worker said at 14 she could live with her 30y.o. “boyfriend”;

👉 Lives with severe lifelong PTSD & trauma, believing authorities feared being labelled racist, allowing the gangs to remain untouchable.

Still, prestige media like the BBC are doing their best to avoid stirring up anger, downplaying all the horror. I went to their page and couldn't even find a story about the new report. Total blackout.

Just as the authorities do their best to downplay all migrant crime, they don't want to "inflame tensions" by exposing just how horrific all this is.

In other words, the betrayals are still going on. The establishment looks away, because the girls are working-class "slags" who don't really count that much in the grand scheme of things. Just look away. Diversity is our strength. Or whatever they tell themselves to sleep at night.

You may not have the stomach to read the entire report, for which you can be forgiven. But you should at least read the Executive Summary, which details the massive, systemic failures of a fundamentally broken system. A small sample:

Were Britain functioning effectively, these girls would have received considerable state protection. However, every one of our institutions failed them8catastrophically. Police forces ignored repeated reports, criminalised victimsinstead of perpetrators, destroyed evidence, and allowed known rapists to walk free on bail. Social care services undermined protective parents, placed children in trafficking hubs inside children’s homes, closed cases despite clear indicators of exploitation, and retaliated against whistleblowers. The NHS recorded genital injuries, multiple sexually transmitted infections in children as young as 13, pregnancies caused by rape, and suicide attempts, yet discharged victims back to their abusers without safeguarding referrals or trauma care. Schools observed older men collecting girls at the gates, heard disclosures of rape on school premises, and responded by excluding victims rather than protecting them. Taxicensing authorities renewed permits for drivers who formed the logistical backbone of the networks and collapsed in the face of organized protests when basic safety measures were proposed. Political failure lies at the heart of the scandal. Successive governments lacked the will to confront the ethnic and religious patterns. The Labour Party bears particular responsibility. It initially refused a public inquiry and only relented under pressure by ordering a process viewed with widespread scepticism.

All this matters to us across the pond for a simple reason: Britain is not some alien culture, and this is not some ancient tragedy. This is what a modern liberal democracy based on the same fundamental system of justice and traditions can do when it deviates from the norms we have all come to expect.

We tend to assume that "that couldn't happen here," when all the evidence is that it certainly could. For all the wallowing in generational guilt when it comes to "colonialism," it turns out that the sense of guilt so distorts our consciences that we turn our back on our own citizens.

"What did you think decolonialism looked like?" That was the leftist refrain after October 7th. You could say the same thing here.

This is what decolonial ideology leads to. And it is uglier than you can imagine, just as October 7th was.
