Mayorkas: It Wasn't My Fault!

Alejandro Mayorkas is one of the most evil men to have served in government, and that is a high bar to jump over.

Under his "leadership," our country was flooded with millions of illegal immigrants, FEMA refused to help Trump supporters, the Secret Service managed to allow crazy people to take shots at the once and future president, and terrorists and gang members were allowed to flow into the country unhindered.

Hundreds of thousands of unaccompanied minors were handed over to human traffickers in the United States, many of whom wound up as child laborers and even sex traffickers.

It is somewhat shocking that he is still treated as a serious public servant, but then again, Pravda has his back.

At a POLITICO Security Summit, Mayorkas was asked about his miserable record in protecting the border, and his answer was a doozy: it wasn't my fault.

Mayorkas says that he disagreed with Biden admin immigration policy — and suggests that border security should’ve been tightened sooner:

“There were areas of disagreement within immigration policy…but I voiced my views."

"I was very pleased that in June of 2024, we took executive action that I thought made reforms that were sensible."

This is the same guy repeatedly assured the country that the border was secure.

Now he wants a history rewrite.

Uh, wut? He repeatedly testified before Congress and went on television with his Orwellian "the border is secure" mantra, and he has the nerve to go on TV again to declare that...the border was not secure, but it wasn't his fault.

When Mayorkas was Secretary of Homeland Security, we couldn't go five minutes without Mayorkas gaslighting us about how secure the Southern border was, and now that Trump has all but completely stopped illegal immigration, Mayorkas is doing a tap dance to distract us from his responsibility for making it insecure. He literally ordered that Texas's makeshift border barriers be removed, and his Border Patrol agents were ordered to use construction equipment to remove barriers and allow migrants to stream in under their watchful eyes.

What is equally striking is the venue where Mayorkas is invited to share this absurdity. He isn't speaking to some crowd of Democrat donors, but POLITICO, which purports to be a journalistic institution. Mayorkas is a member of their tribe, so they platform him to spread his lies as they nod along, doing their best to resurrect his reputation.

Mayorkas has not been exactly visible in his post-DHS life. I couldn't find any record of his employment anywhere, which is unusual for a former Cabinet member. They usually like to cash in. And perhaps he is under the table. I asked Google and Grok, and they found nothing, although his bio is up at the University of Virginia, but that appears to be related to an event he spoke at there.

Perhaps he is looking for redemption, either personal or professional. It's hard to say.

But given the trail of blood he has left in his wake, and the pain and suffering his victims have had to endure, I can't see how anybody on Earth could forgive his evil acts.

God may forgive, but none of us should.
