How brazenly can a Democrat lie if and when his statements fit The Narrative™?
There is absolutely no limit, it turns out. Pravda will back them up by hiding facts, emphasizing irrelevant or distorted events, and writing headlines and ledes that completely misrepresent reality.
If you read nothing but Mamdani’s post, you'd conclude “white supremecists” & Lang attempted to use “explosive device.” In fact, Emir Balat & Ibrahim Kayumi were arrested for throwing an IED after yelling “Alluha Akbar.” Cold hard facts melt when meet warmth of collectivism. pic.twitter.com/MJJqTImXi9

I wrote about the media reaction to the terrorist attack in New York City yesterday, assuming that, over time, the media would have to at least update the narrative that they were pushing.
Mamdani begins statement on attempted bombing by Muslim radicals in NYC by condemning white supremacy and anti-Muslim bigotry. pic.twitter.com/c3MpPho0qh

I was wrong. While not exactly denying that somebody, for some reason, threw explosive devices NEAR Gracie Mansion, they are writing their stories as if it were Jake Lang's followers trying to kill Zohran Mamdani. Mamdani and members of his administration are blaming Islamophobia for the attacks, and the media is fine with that.
Two men tried to detonate homemade bombs on the Upper East Side of Manhattan on Saturday. They had, according to reports, been inspired by ISIS videos. In a video from the scene, you can hear someone scream, “Allahu akbar.”
But you would never know any of that from the mayor’s statement—or from much of the mainstream media’s coverage. If you were reading that, or listening to the words of the city’s top elected official, you would assume the bombs were placed by white supremacists.
Not only did the failed attack expose Mayor Zohran Mamdani and many of his sympathizers in the press as apologists for apparent Islamists, it showed how hard they will work to hide the truth when it’s inconvenient to their worldview.
The media's portrayal of the event barely corresponds with reality. In the midst of a war with an Islamist regime, two Islamists who admit that they were radicalized by ISIS propaganda throw bombs that were designed based on al Qaeda's IEDs, and the media implicitly lays the blame on people protesting Islamism.
NEW MEDIA HOAX JUST DROPPED

“Devices thrown outside Mamdani’s mansion at anti-Islam protest”
Reality: The explosive devices were thrown AT anti-Islam protesters by radical Muslim jihadists shouting “Allahu Akbar”
You would never know that from the legacy media headlines! pic.twitter.com/5TSuWSFpWm
Most of the headlines and many of the pictures emphasize Jake Lange and the protesters with him, as if they had something to do with the bombs (or smoking jars of metal and fuses, as the New York Times put it). Mamdani put this line of bulls**t out, so the media is sticking to it, come hell or high water.
Muslim terrorists threw a nail bomb at anti-Islam protestors outside the mayor's office. It failed to detonate.

If you just read this article and saw this picture you would think white racists had tried to kill the mayor. pic.twitter.com/ZULVGh8nWy
The point is not to inform people, but to counter-inform us. Since the reality undermines the point that the establishment wants to make, they just invert the truth. In many cases, you can, if you go down far into the stories, get a more accurate description of events, but a tiny fraction of the public ever sees or reads what really happened.
I’m sorry but I just cannot let this one go.
— Kristen Mag (@kristenmag) March 9, 2026
These men were not protesters. They are Islamic extremists who threw homemade bombs into a crowd of Americans.
This was an attempted terrorist attack. And it’s so irresponsible for media to minimize and twist headlines like this. pic.twitter.com/2Xi61xiYdk
The media is going to memory hole this as quickly as they can, just as surely as they would obsess endlessly and for years if it really had been anti-Islamism protesters who did anything similar.
But the anti-Islamists were peaceful, and the Islamists tried to kill them. So the media pulls the Keir Starmer line that the problem is Islamophobia.

It is jarring, despite the fact that we should have expected this at some level. But the lies and distortions are so brazen that it still shocks the conscience.
Spoiler alert: The 'white supremacist' rally had NOTHING to do with the explosive devices, which were hurled at police. https://t.co/FZ3fp65Zln

One after another network and newspaper left out the key facts from online posts about the attack. NBC News echoed Lander’s inversion of the attack: “Multiple arrests made after ‘suspicious devices’ found outside Gracie Mansion, home of Mayor Zohran Mamdani, during anti-Islam rally and counterprotest.”
ABC was similar: “Police arrested several people after a smoke-generating ‘suspicious device’ was thrown during a protest at Gracie Mansion.”
And by Sunday evening, the New York Times report on the attack made no mention of a man shouting “Allahu akbar” at the scene.
By dodging the truth, the press showed once again that its drive to get the story is highly dependent on how the politics shake out—even when that story is an attempted terrorist attack.
Democrats lie brazenly because they know they can, on any issue at any time. They watched the media platform Adam Schiff as a truth-teller, put known perjurers on TV as analysts, and wrote stories about how Doug Emhoff and Tim Walz became sex symbols for America.
Think about how bulletproof Mamdani must feel to lie this brazenly
— Uubzu v4 (@uubzu) March 9, 2026
And with good reason. See how well coordinated they have the mainstream media. Every headline is misleading in the same way
You are being conquered pic.twitter.com/Wdf64qWJwl
The media is doing the same describing the war, trying to find anybody and everybody they can who will trash Trump and argue that Operation Enduring Freedom is failing.
WaPo "intelligence" correspondent says China is winning the Iran war, sharing Chinese propaganda that claims to show satellite video of U.S. attacks on Iran, when it's really showing video of Atlanta airport.

Hey @JeffBezos, this is a really bad look. pic.twitter.com/azXEWJtHNT
Most egregiously, perhaps, is pushing Democrat propaganda that Trump is responsible for the defunding of the Department of Homeland Security in the middle of a war, or that he refused to fill the Strategic Petroleum Reserve.
This may be the worst pair of Democrat leaders ever.
— Matt Whitlock (@MattWhitlock) March 9, 2026
On one side you have dead-eyed Hakeem Jeffries - tweeting about TSA agents not being paid (Dems shut down DHS)
On the other you have Salmonella Schumer tweeting about the strategic petroleum reserve (emptied under Biden) pic.twitter.com/FIXDtIiRMk
The truth is the exact opposite, but you would never know that from the media, which backs up the Democrats' lies and uses those lies to trash Trump.
People like me who spend inordinate amounts of time on X see the lies being spewed in real-time, and the refutations, complete with incontrovertible evidence, debunk what the media shovels out.
Happy to know that our Mayor and First Lady are safe, but horrified that there was such a disturbing threat of violence outside their residence.
— Brad Lander (@bradlander) March 8, 2026
Vile displays of Islamophobia will never be tolerated in our city. https://t.co/CDLc2JCYXU
But that is true for only a small fraction of Americans. And while an increasing number of people distrust the media, they are still deprived of the truth because most people can't, and shouldn't have to, do their own research on everything.
Some say true poetic beauty is rare in life. I say look at this video of Islamic terror literally going right over a lefty's head https://t.co/WK3VRl1QxW
— Sean Fitzgerald (Actual Justice Warrior) (@IamSean90) March 9, 2026
I thought, when Trump accused the media of being "enemies of the people," that he was using hyperbole. But, as with most everything these days, Trump was right, and those of us who still had a modicum of trust in the media were entirely wrong.
The media doesn't just spin or lean leftward. It is a full-blown propaganda outfit.
