My God, this is a thing, now.
Western TikTok influencers are making videos promoting how lovely and friendly Afghanistan has become under the benign leadership of the Taliban, although they occasionally, though not always, admit that perhaps women might be given a bit more freedom.
But, gee, go visit!
All of these influencers are getting their trips funded by the Taliban. But please note the more concerning are the ones tied to Taliban intelligence as they are doing something far worse than just propoganda—they’re helping cover up that an attack on the U.S. homeland is coming… https://t.co/J7dzBBsKsx

When I saw this tweet, I thought it might be describing a fake trend, but after a bit of quick digging, I found out that it is in fact, a real thing.
Watch that video of the blond cutie with sexually charged techno music, wrapping herself up in Islamic garb
Yes, Afghanistan is the perfect place for a hot blond to gyrate to such music.
I asked my current favorite AI, Perplexity, to give a brief description of the trend (I like Perplexity because it provides a lot of links to primary sources), and was shocked to see how significant a trend it is. Apparently, the Taliban is making a big push for tourism dollars, and are willing to spend some to make it flow in.
There's nothing like seeing smiling travel and tourism—often women—describing the wonders of this totalitarian paradise.
Margaritta, a 33-year-old travel influencer from Germany, embarked on a three-month solo trip through Afghanistan in May 2024. Despite a “media echo that Afghanistan was not safe,” she said, “I was not scared.”
She “felt fantastic,” Margaritta, who asked that only her first name be used for security reasons, told NBC News. “I was treated like a queen.”
The trip was “one of those amazing experiences that also pushed me,” she added in a post on her TikTok channel, @margarittasworld, which has over 18,000 subscribers.
Just as you can find countless videos of influencers describing how racist, sexist, and homophobic Americans are, you can find travel influencers encouraging Westerners to hand their money over to the Taliban, which bans women from talking in public or getting an education.

Demons walk the Earth, and Satan now advertises on TikTok.
The Taliban is not just encouraging the tourism business, of course, but amplifying the content to manipulate Westerners.
Taliban-linked accounts and authorities are actively amplifying the content produced by travel influencers visiting Afghanistan through coordinated online strategies and official incentives. Here is how this amplification works:
Social Media Sharing and State Promotion
Taliban officials and affiliated accounts frequently reshare striking influencer videos and tourism content across major platforms such as X (formerly Twitter), Telegram, and Facebook, often boosting posts that show Afghanistan as welcoming and secure for outsiders.
These accounts create viral moments by focusing on scenic landscapes, hospitable locals, and positive testimonials from foreign influencers, thereby reinforcing a narrative of stability and normalcy under Taliban rule.
Sometimes, Taliban social media outlets even use staged or dramatic videos (e.g., hostage-style scenes that end with tourists giving a thumbs-up) to generate attention and highlight apparent tourist safety.
Licensing, Incentives, and Narrative Control
The Taliban grants broadcasting licenses to approved social media influencers, placing them on par with traditional TV networks and radio stations, and allowing privileged access in exchange for adherence to regime messaging guidelines.
Influencers who cooperate closely and depict Afghanistan positively receive privileged access, interviews, and may be offered consultancies with international agencies requiring on-the-ground insights.
The Taliban is known to revoke licenses or suppress content critical of their government, creating an incentive for influencers to avoid negative coverage.
Network Effects and Algorithmic Boosting
There is evidence of Taliban-affiliated influencers boosting each other's content, tagging diplomats, and pushing audience traffic to Taliban-friendly outlets.
You can't blame the Taliban for doing this, of course. It's smart on their part.
It's the people who cooperate with and profit from allying themselves with one of the most evil regimes in the world who should be the subject of our ire.
Interesting that the UK Supreme Court says it's illegal to teach Christianity in schools when....schools are teaching Christian girls how to wear a hijab and learn all about Islam.

Promoting Islam is the hot new thing for the cultural elite. It's not just blatant examples like this. It goes much deeper. In the UK, schools are teaching British children how to do Islamic prayers and put on hijabs, explaining that their efforts are to increase cultural awareness and appreciation for diversity.
ENGLAND: Primary school pupils forced to take a trip to a mosque and learn about Islam and the Quran. Little girls forced to wear a hijab.

Yeah, right. I have it on good authority that one of the key tenets of Islam is that "diversity is our strength."
Of course, there is nothing wrong with teaching kids about world cultures, including Islamic culture. But that is not the same thing as teaching kids how to be Muslim, which is what is happening today.
Queer Muslims, of course, if that is a thing. Perhaps Queer Muslims first, then ship them off to Afghanistan for their final lessons.
The problem isn't so much that Islamic cultures are working to expand themselves—cultural groups tend to do that for obvious reasons—but rather that Western Culture is unwilling to defend itself from efforts to take it over.
"Decolonizers" are, in fact, advocates of having our culture colonized from the outside. And our cultural elite is happy to help.
