Mamdani Campaigns With WTC Bombing Conspirator

Zohran Mamdani has every reason to be confident he will win the New York City election for mayor, and is acting like it.

Far from being cautious and appearing moderate, Mamdani is beginning to let his freak flag fly. His interns are taking to social media to talk about jihad, and Mamdani himself is campaigning with openly anti-American Islamists.

The latest example is his proud appearance with Imam Siraj Wahhaj, an unindicted co-conspirator in the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. The feds never got enough evidence to indict him, but Wahhaj was the Imam for the mosque where several of the bombers worshipped.

Wahhaj has for decades been the imam of Masjid at-Taqwa, which several people connected to the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center either attended or visited around the time of the attack. During the investigation of the bombing, the elder Mr. Wahhaj was named on a list of several dozen potential conspirators in the plot, though he was never charged in the case and the list was later criticized for being overly broad, some former terrorism prosecutors said.

Whether Wahhaj was in on the planning of the attack is a matter of dispute--we have no direct evidence that he was--the radical Muslim has made clear his disdain for American democracy and his desire to replace it with Sharia law. His contributions to New York have all been related to that desire--he helped police clean up his neighborhood from drug dealers--which is good--but he advocates for methods of dealing with people who violate Sharia that are, shall we say, inimical to American society

Wahhaj has made statements in support of Islamic laws over liberal democracy. He also supports capital punishments such as stoning for adultery and cutting off of hands for thievery. He has said: "Islam is better than democracy. Allah will cause his deen [Islam as a complete way of life], Islam to prevail over every kind of system, and you know what? It will happen."[11]

He has also said: "If Allah says 100 strikes, 100 strikes it is. If Allah says cut off their hand, you cut off their hand. If Allah says stone them to death, through the Prophet Muhammad, then you stone them to death, because it’s the obedience of Allah and his messenger—nothing personal.

Wahhaj is very good at riding the line between expressing extremist views and explicit calls to violence. He makes his extremist views known and then throws in a line about not actually taking up arms.

“Muslim men to go fight in the way of subhanahu wa ta’ala,” added the Imam, using a phrase that roughly translates to “glory be to Allah.”

“The evidence demonstrates that Mamdani’s political trajectory has not only been supported by activist movements but also reinforced by endorsements and alliances noted in figures with a documented history of extremist views and activities, posing a direct national security threat to New York City and the U.S.,” according to the report.

Wahhaj has also derided the LGBTQ community as “a disease of this society,” the report found.

“And you know, brothers and sisters, you know what the punishment is, if a man is found with another man?” he once preached during a sermon first reported by Islamist Watch in 2017.

“The Prophet Mohammad said the one who does it and the one to whom it is done to, kill them both.”

One may wonder how a Marxist who allies with "Queers for Palestine" and is all-in on alphabet ideology can ally with a radical Islamist, but it is entirely consistent with revolutionary tactics. Revolutionaries find their allies where they can.

It's the "first up against the wall" principle. Ally with anyone to destroy the principal enemy, and turn on your "allies" once the first battle is done.

Of course, if I had to place a bet on which revolutionary would win in a battle between radical Islamists and pretty-boy Marxist leaders, I wouldn't bet on Mamdani. But then again, not even Mamdani expects to be able to fully defeat capitalism in his mayoralty. Weaken the city, yes, but destroy the system? No. So he's safe.

In any case, New York City has come a long way from "Never Forget," proving that nothing is permanent in human affairs except human stupidity.

America's great cities are committing suicide. And, as predicted, it is liberals who are doing the deed.

: The Schumer Shutdown is here. Rather than put the American people first, Chuck Schumer and the radical Democrats forced a government shutdown for healthcare for illegals. They own this.
