Last Thursday, I wrote about Abigail Spanberger's unofficial campaign slogan, which she repeats often in her stump speeches given exclusively to her Democratic Party supporters.
"Let your rage fuel you," she tells them.
This is very disturbing from Dem Spanberger after the recent horrendous political killings from the left, one just this morning

She’s smiling at this. Kind of sociopathic if you ask me. No talk of honoring the public square, rule of law, but unhinged rage. https://t.co/21nMkm2TgI
There are plenty of such clips because this is a theme of hers, used to whip up her base into the frenzy upon which most Democrats rely, given their otherwise unpopular positions. Anger--even hate--is the key to their electoral success in areas where their victory is not assured by owning political machines.
Spanberger doesn't even have an ounce of charisma to rely on, so appealing to the baser instincts is her best campaign strategy.
🚨 NEW AD: When the Left calls for rage, everything burns and people get hurt.

But Virginia is for lovers—not rage. Vote to keep it that way. pic.twitter.com/UO39sYlo9U
Lieutenant Governor Winsom Sears, who is running to replace the Governor, Glenn Youngkin, has rightfully decided to use Spanberger's encouragement of rage in an era of left-wing assassination culture as a theme in her campaign.
Who said it better: Abigail Spanberger or Emperor Palpatine? pic.twitter.com/XYZBVYpQ7i

Now that Spanberger is getting some pushback, she is telling the world that she meant 'let your rage fuel you" in the nicest way possible. I'm not quite sure how "rage" and "peace, love, and understanding" mesh in the real world. Rage seems closer to the emotion that is driving a series of leftists to take shots at and kill people, but you be you. YMMV.
.@SpanbergerForVA told supporters to ‘let your rage fuel you’ and now she wants to pretend she didn’t mean it. Sorry, Abigail, you don’t get to walk it back.

This is the same violent rhetoric we’ve seen from Democrats for years and Republicans have paid the price: Steve Scalise nearly killed on a baseball field, President Trump targeted by an assassin, Charlie Kirk murdered in cold blood.A real leader defends our families, unites our Commonwealth, and leads with courage — not rage. Abigail Spanberger has already disqualified herself.
I love Spanberger's take: Sure, I keep saying that, but in a "civil way."
How could anybody translate an endorsement of "rage"--not anger, but rage, which is by definition a form of intense, uncontrolled anger--into a call for violence? Since when has uncontrolled anger been linked to violence, and all those political assassinations have no discernible motives anyway? Ask Pravda and they will tell you!
Virginia Democrats cannot hide behind generic statements condemning political violence when their rhetoric encourages it. Abigail Spanberger's calls for "rage" are being answered by people who take their words as permission to make threats. God forbid they take action. Two… https://t.co/QRBesq6fqw

Some pundits have written off Winsome Sears, and there is often an element of self-fulfilling prophecy when that happens. But Sears is still in striking distance, and the issue terrain is in her favor in most cases. Her biggest drags are Trump's assault on federal employees and the Swamp--Northern Virginia is where the Swamp oozes after work hours--and an accurate sense that Sears is much harder core than Youngkin, who is conservative but with an unthreatening demeanor.
Sears gives the vibe that you don't want to cross her, and the more "cultured" part of Virginia prefers a refined version of ruthlessness. Sears was a Marine, like Beege, so she can be intimidating, like Beege.
Sears is leaning hard into cultural issues that favor her--particularly the trans men who practice onanism in front of little girls in locker rooms. Democrats seem to love paedos, and even bureaucrats with children are leery about giving sex offenders access to their own children.

Police found children swim class schedules on his phone along with child porn.
He was seen stroking his erect penis in the women's shower.
He was not removed from the locker room by staff because state transgender inclusion policy gave him a right to access the women's room because he said he is a woman.
Police chief did not arrest and charge him with a crime because state transgender inclusion policies gave him a right to access the women's room because he said he is a woman.
One doesn't have to be J.K. Rowling to find these stories, of which there are many in the Blue areas in Virginia, a bit off-putting. Spanberger dances around on the issue, but clearly supports giving paedos and perverts access to women's spaces. That could cost her a few points where it matters.
Unfortunately, most Democrats will vote for Spanberger anyway. Child sacrifice is part of the Party platform and they have learned to live with that.
