If you could make a list of dream vacations, would Tehran make the cut?
Probably not, unless you are a radical activist to whom "Death to America" sounds like a great slogan.
Such people exist, apparently, and it should come as no surprise.
Iran is wrapping up a glorious tour for 15 such people--"journalists," they call them--whose last day in Tehran was spent at the site of the former US embassy, which has been turned into a riveting museum dedicated to the student activists who modeled the occupations we now see regularly on US campuses.

Nothing is more heartwarming than seeing a journalist smiling in front of a skull-themed Statue of Liberty, next to a poster in English calling for the deaths of US politicians.
A good chunk of the exhibit glorifies the 1979 Islamic Revolution and the U.S. Embassy hostage crisis, where Iranian radicals seized 52 American diplomats and held them hostage for 444 days.

I love all the keffiyahs, too. It is quite the fashion statement, and must have complemented the backdrops for some of the garden spots they visited. Sites bombed by Israel, for instance.
Unfortunately, I couldn't find any photos reminiscent of Hanoi Jane's from her visit to Vietnam. Those would be precious.
There is a class of people whose hatred for Western culture runs so deep that they flock to tyrants as a counterweight.
I mean, c'mon, man--who thinks that an Ayatollah should be your model for a leader? For that matter, were any of these "journalists" Queer or transgender? If not, they are hardly representative. More diversity, man. Diversity!
Can you really call yourself a museum if there’s no gift shop? Or did the Supreme Leader @khamenei_ir ban souvenirs? pic.twitter.com/4mFwnycLi5

What does it say about you if you end your dream vacation at a site where they are celebrating the taking of hostages? Although, to be fair, it IS on brand given their support for Hamas.
Jane Fonda, at least, was a useful idiot. These people are not. They know exactly what they are doing and why they are doing it. They know that Iran commits atrocities on a daily basis--they know the fate of homosexuals in Iran. That women are raped and murdered for shunning the hijab.
They just don't care. "Death to America" is all that matters.
