Pete Hegseth's Pentagon did a very good thing.
When he came into his position as Secretary of Defense, Hegseth ordered that all the racist slicing and dicing of the military structure, websites, and honors be stripped and to treat all soldiers as soldiers, not representatives of some identity group or another.
One of the results was reordering the list of notable soldiers buried at Arlington, to the extent that any can be said to be more notable than others. Medal of Honor recipients, soldiers who went on to greater things outside the military, and others that the general public might especially want to find were placed on a list for ease.

Among those names was Colin Powell, for obvious reasons. He played a major role in American military and diplomatic history in the last quarter of the 20th century, and he was singled out as one of the notable soldiers.
Well, Democrats are trying to spread a hoax that all non-white soldiers were scrubbed from the list to fit their narrative that Trump and company are White supremacists who want to scrub minorities from history. That is not what happened.
Instead, what the Pentagon did was rearrange the list by where people were buried instead of separating everybody by race and gender. Instead of using identity politics as the organizing principle, the new list treats every heroic soldier as an individual, not as a member of a group.
In other words, Colin Powell is not a notable soldier because he is black but because of his achievements. That honors him and the other heroes more, focusing on their achievements, not as representatives of some identity group.
The accusation is absurd and likely is aimed at two audiences: the Trump-deranged and AWFLs (who are also Trump-deranged), and the minorities who tend to be suspicious of Republicans but who are taking a second look due to the insanity and mendacity they see coming from the Left.
Democrats are desperate and looking for any port in the storm, and accusations of racism are a very familiar port indeed. Racistsexisthomophobicwhitesupremacist are repeated so often and routinely that they have melded together in the way that HITLERSTALINANDMUSSOLINI have. It is almost reflexive with them.
Since so many liberals have been brainwashed into believing this sort of thing, this accusation will stick, in the same way that "Trump is a Putin Puppet" has stuck with so many of them. All they have to do is keep repeating the lie that people come to believe it must be true.
This reflects badly on the people who still take this sort of thing at face value, of course. Once they were slapped in the face with the COVID lies and the "Sharp as a Tack" lie, you would think they would become a bit skeptical, wouldn't you?
But the habits of decades are hard to shake, and I know people who will simultaneously admit that the New York Times has deceived them and assert that they totally trust the Times because who else? The Times is the gold standard!
Whatever. You can't beat your friends and family like a rented mule. And getting into fights with the propagandists is like wrestling with a pig.
What we can do is ridicule the propagandists, and if we do it enough, the trust in the Pravda Media will erode. It already has eroded to a great extent. Trust in the Pravda Media is below that of Congress, so all we can do is keep hitting them and all the other Democrat propagandists in a long war of attrition.
It sucks. Many people will believe this claim. But fewer and fewer will take such accusations at face value if we do our jobs right.
It's no fun fighting against scumbags and grifters, but somebody has to do it, or the Narrative™ gets set and can never be rooted out.
