I have to admit that I have never found Joe Biden likable.
He is a mean SOB, corrupt, a liar, incompetent, and, did I say, corrupt?
And, as he is sundowning his way out of the Oval Office and out of his mortal coil soon enough, he has only gotten worse in all these respects. Not needing to preserve any of his political capital, he (or his handlers) have decided to go out like a supernova spewing bad policies and abuses of power.
But you do have to hand it to him, he is so open in his hypocrisy that it can actually be amusing.

I mean, c'mon man. That is funny. It's not quite Willie Sutton explaining why he robbed banks funny, but it is pretty good.
Sutton was a bank robber and earned the nicknames “The Actor” and “Slick Willie” for his ingenuity in executing robberies in various disguises. He was fond of expensive clothes and was often described as being an immaculate dresser.
When asked why he robbed banks, Sutton simply replied, “Because that’s where the money is.”
Sutton was arrested a number of times during his career as a robber and escaped from prison a total of six times.
A bit over a month after he pardoned his son Hunter for, among other things, being a millionaire tax cheat Biden declares his commitment to capitalism and to tax fairness, including making millionaires pay their fair share.
Biden, by the way, isn't a capitalist, and neither is Hunter. Both of them got their ill-gotten gains the same way Willie Sutton did using different means--they went where the money was and scooped it up illicitly. Capitalists invest in things that produce value.
Well, obviously Biden didn't tweet it. It's not like he is a terminally online octagenarian who shares his thoughts obsessively, so this may just have been a White House communications stooge having a bit of fun at Biden's expense.
Except...Democrats pull this crap all the time. Look at Gavin Newsom, Nancy Pelosi, or even Bernie Sanders. They get wealthy by producing nothing and then turn around and blather all about social justice, economic equality, tax fairness, and all the rest of their nonsense and then laugh at us behind closed doors.
Why actual liberals put up with this is beyond me. The hypocrisy isn't hidden. How many ordinary liberals own vineyards, dine at the French Laundry, and wear custom shoes while walking past homeless people without taking notice?
My only explanation is that liberals, being somewhat intellectual without being logical, are mesmerized by words and not the evidence before their eyes. As long as their "leaders" say the right things it doesn't matter what they DO.
It's Critical Theory in a nutshell: you can create a reality with words and emotions. Reality is a construct.
As Biden goes out the door leaving behind a big mess, a flurry of pardons, and policies designed to undermine America's success, liberals will go to work rewriting history, praising George Washington Biden, and turning on MSNBC to watch Rachel Maddow create a new reality.
And about half the country buys this BS.
