Why the Congressional Bathroom Fight Is More Important Than It Seems

Conservatives are cheering on Nancy Mace, and now Speaker Johnson, for their common-sense stance that bathrooms at the Capitol complex will remain single-sex based on biology. (No doubt there are family-friendly bathrooms where individuals of either gender can enter alone, but you get the idea).

Women's rooms will be reserved for women, and men's rooms for men. What a concept, right?

The controversy has arisen because Delaware elected a female-identifying man (XY Chromosomes, fully intact) to Congress and he is demanding the right to invade women's spaces such as bathrooms and locker rooms.

Mace, a sexual violence survivor, is standing up for all women in pushing back. She has won the battle at the Capitol, and is putting forth a bill to make the policy apply at all federal facilities (pun intended).

This fight is not really, or only, about who can use what bathroom at the Capitol or in federal facilities. It's not even solely about alphabet ideology, although that is the front on which the war is being fought.

It is ultimately a wedge issue through which we can destroy the Critical Theory Industrial Complex, or "Woke, Inc."

Democrats, you see, are choosing to die on this hill, and it is one which is heavily defended by the common sense Americans who elected Donald Trump, but also about half the Democratic Party voters.

Transgender or Alphabet ideology is a key pillar of the neopagan religion adopted by the neo-Marxist left, and many of these people haven't adopted these extreme positions out of political pragmatism but because they are wedded to an orthodoxy. Political opportunists like Rep. Seth Moulton were on the alphabet bandwagon for political reasons, and are fighting it now for the same reasons: the desire for power.

Leftists don't think like that. This is a religious issue as serious as the fights during the Reformation. They cannot and will not back down, and that is great news for Republicans and all sane people.

Democrats, or at least the neo-Marxists, are being exposed in a way that they haven't been in the past. Until recently, the public thought that the Right was sparking culture wars, which was never true. The Right was always on defense, not offense, but the Pravda Media made it look like the opposite.

But the issues are now so clear, the aggressors so obvious, that we are actually taking cultural territory back. The fight at the Capitol is a proxy for fights taking place all over the country.

Trump and company have some tools in the toolbox to roll back at least some of the worst excesses right away. Just as Biden used Title IX rules to push alphabet ideology, Trump can reverse that guidance and even threaten the cutoff of funds for institutions that force women to accommodate men cosplaying women.

This is a great battle for us.
