OIG: TSA Is Letting Dangerous Aliens Fly

There are too many stories to recount about how undocumented migrants and illegal aliens are getting preferential treatment far outstripping the benefits given to ordinary American citizens.

This morning, I referred to the fact that a billion dollars have been diverted from FEMA disaster relief to provide housing for illegal aliens. People in Appalachia are suffering, at least partly because the money that was supposed to go to help them has been spent on illegal aliens.

There are countless stories with the same theme: illegal aliens are draining budgets, getting payments from the government that far outstrip those provided to people in dire situations, and increasing crime and social discord in cities across America.

But there are stories that are less well known, and the recent report from the Homeland Security Office of Inspector General should give you chills and make anybody who flies angry.

Illegal immigrants are being allowed on flights without having their identification verified.

Homeland Security disputes this, of course, but their explanation doesn't hold water.

When migrants are let into the country as "refugees," they are registered and given papers that supposedly identify them. Most, though not all, are photographed. The authorities, who are overwhelmed by the numbers, have to take the word of the migrants about who they are, and this is one of the reasons why so many criminals and potential terrorists are let it.

To give you an idea of how insane this policy is, many, if not most, of these migrants came to the border with ID and disposed of them before crossing into America. They have gone to great lengths to hide their identity, but once they cross the Rio Grande, our government takes their word on who they are.

All they have to do is claim asylum, and they are in

If noncitizens do not have identification such as an unexpired visa,11 unexpired passports, reentry permit, border crossing identification card, or document of identity and nationality, immigration officers may deny their admission and subject them to removal from the United States without furtherhearing or review.12 However, if noncitizens without identification indicate they either intend to apply for asylum13 or express a fear of persecution in their home country, an immigration officer will refer them for a credible fear interview. If asylum officers determine those claims are credible, these noncitizens may be released into the country to await further hearings or reviews of their claims to admission.CBP and ICE immigration officers can also parole noncitizens into the United States temporarily for “urgent humanitarian reasons” or “significant public benefit.”14 Before releasing noncitizens into the country, CBP and ICE immigration officers issue documents such as Form I-862 andForm I-220A. If the noncitizens do not have identification, CBP and ICE immigration officers accept noncitizens’ self-reported biographical information and use this information to populate the forms. They also collect photographs and fingerprints. Additionally, a DNA sample may be collected from noncitizens over 14 years old. Figure 2 shows an ICE agent issuing immigration forms to a noncitizen at a processing facility.CBP and ICE Have Policies and Procedures for screening Noncitizens, but Neither Component KnowsHow Many Noncitizens without IdentificationDocuments Are Released into the Country CBP and ICE immigration officers use guidance outlined in several publications when screening and inspecting non citizens (with or without identification).

Often, officials are overwhelmed, and very little information is actually collected, especially the fingerprints and DNA that is supposed to be collected.

While all this is troubling, what should shock you is that the migrants use the temporary ID based on this self-reported information to fly around the country at will.

I just got my RealID which will be necessary for flying soon, and it requires extensive paperwork. A birth certificate, proof of residence, and my previous ID. Migrants tell border agents whatever they want, and they can fly. Often, they have their own lines to get expedited service.

It's impossible to overstate the insanity of this system. Tulsi Gabbard can be put on a list as a potential danger subject to additional scrutiny and to be followed around the country, but illegal immigrants get ushered through based on sketchy information.

The rush to import as many illegal immigrants is inexplicable until you realize that our elite has contempt for ordinary Americans. They are dedicated to "diversity," not protection of citizens.

Even if we assume that our elite is merely naive and not actually hostile to us, they are putting us all in danger.

Even the Office of Inspector General sees it. Mayorkas' Department of Homeland Security doesn't care.
