I grew up in a Democrat household. We even had children's books about JFK, MLK, Bobby Kennedy, the Civil Rights movement, and I even campaigned for George McGovern in 1972. 

My father, until recently, was a regular contributor to the ACLU and to this day, is a fan of the Founders and a patriot. We disagree on politics and policy but share an abiding love for the principles on which our country was founded. 

As a lifelong Democrat, my father remains attached to the party, but one thing we both agree on is that the progressive left has become hostile to Constitutional principles and that it is scary. He thinks they are fringe; I do not. 

When most people think of the progressives, they think of AOC and the "Squad." There is plenty of justification for that, obviously, but one of the smartest and most articulate proponents of the radical progressives in Congress isn't even a Congressman, at least not quite. 

I am writing about Stacey Plaskett, the Congressional Delegate from the Virgin Islands. She is smart, articulate, and very, very radical. She also has become a spokesman for the radical wing of the Congressional Democrats because she is so articulate. 

In this clip she encapsulates what is so dangerous about modern progressive, simultaneously lying freely while using those lies to justify dangerous lawfare against Americans.

She admits the DOJ and FBI are weaponized to go after people with opposing views.

Let's parse her statement. First, she lies about Republican plans should Donald Trump get elected, which these days is standard fare. Everything they say about Trump is a lie because it is all they have. They have turned the lies and hoax creation machine up to 11. 

But the lies aren't what is striking about her rant. Kamala Harris and every surrogate spews this bulls**t every day. It's the second part of her speech that is amazing. Basically, she admits that her vision for the role of the police powers of the federal government is to go after the people she just lied about. 

The Justice Department, in the eyes of the progressives, is all about suppressing Americans who think the wrong way. We are enemies of the state. 

This is exactly how the progressives see us. Hillary called us "deplorables," while Plaskett calls us White Supremacists. 

If you think I am cherry-picking one radical's views and smearing the progressives through guilt by association, I assure you I am not. Here is Hillary Clinton saying much the same thing.

And Tim Walz has expressed similar attitudes, asserting that we should be forced to sit down and shut up or face the consequences.

And, of course, the current Vice President and aspiring president believes the same thing, promising to send the Justice Department after those of us who dissent and deserve punishment.

Democrats are becoming bolder and bolder about their agenda, not just to slander and silence conservatives but to put them in jail for being dissidents. 

This is what the Justice Department is for in their eyes. Plaskett is just a bit less sly about saying so than the average progressive tyrant. 

Democrats aren't who they were when I was growing up. They are aspiring tyrants, and must be stopped.
